Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma history and develop personalized treatment plans.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions designed to help patients process trauma and develop effective coping strategies.

• Work closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care tailored to each patient's needs.

• Provide crisis intervention support to patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educate patients and families about trauma responses and coping mechanisms, empowering them with knowledge and resources.

• Ensure accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards using electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Actively participate in case consultations and team meetings to enhance trauma-informed care practices.

• Remain current with the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy to continually improve our service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals affected by trauma, including adults suffering from PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Many of our patients come from diverse backgrounds, and they often experience significant emotional distress that requires a sensitive and empathetic approach. By employing trauma-informed care principles, you will help patients not only address their symptoms but also foster resilience and recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Maryland.

• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment approaches.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively in both therapeutic and professional settings.

• A non-judgmental, compassionate approach to patient care, with the ability to remain calm in high-stress situations.

Preferred Experience\n

• Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, specifically focusing on trauma therapy.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other computer applications relevant to the practice.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually.
