Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to understand clients' mental health concerns, leading to the creation of effective, individualized treatment plans.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a mental health counselor at New U, you will work with a diverse population, including individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and various other mental health concerns. Your role will be crucial in providing personalized treatment strategies that facilitate clients' healing process and encourage resilience.

Qualifications\n

• Must hold a valid and current state license as a mental health professional such as a Licensed Certified Social Worker - Clinical (LCSW-C), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

• A Master’s degree or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology is required.

• Demonstrated exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of establishing a trusting relationship with clients.

• Exhibit empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental attitude when engaging with clients’ experiences and challenges.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills to effectively manage your caseload and administrative tasks.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience in outpatient therapy settings is preferred, ideally with a client base similar to that of New U Mental and Wellness Center.
