As part of a Hospice Center, you will often engage with terminally ill patients and their families, navigating sensitive discussions and providing crucial emotional support. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients to determine their mental health status and treatment needs through interviews, observations, and assessments.

• Develop, implement, and modify personalized therapeutic treatment plans that include evidence-based techniques tailored to the individual client's issues.

• Regularly meet with clients, providing ongoing therapeutic interventions, progress assessments, and empowerment tools to promote mental well-being.

• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, to provide well-rounded treatment and appropriate referrals when necessary.

• Engage in crisis intervention, utilizing your skills to support clients in high-stress situations, ensuring their safety and well-being.

• Maintain accurate and timely records using electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with legal standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will predominantly work with adults facing a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, substance abuse issues, and eating disorders. Additionally, due to the affiliation with hospice care, you may work closely with patients experiencing grief, loss, and emotional turmoil at the end-of-life stage, necessitating specialized skills in bereavement support and end-of-life counseling.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited program.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in the state of Massachusetts.

• A minimum of four years of relevant post-licensure experience in a therapy setting.

Compensation and Benefits\n
