Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments, focusing on patient histories to identify trauma effects and establish appropriate treatment strategies.

• Develop and implement customized treatment plans that target trauma recovery and foster resilience, using evidence-based modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions to assist patients in processing their trauma experiences, developing effective coping techniques, and enhancing their emotional well-being.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and members of the multidisciplinary team to coordinate integrated care for patients, ensuring a holistic approach to their mental health treatment.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring safety and stability for your patients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be individuals who have experienced significant trauma, including those diagnosed with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting, with a strong emphasis on trauma-related disorders and therapeutic interventions.

• In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders and resilience-building approaches, with demonstrated experience in implementing trauma-focused therapies.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to patient care.

• The ability to remain composed and effective during high-stress situations, ensuring patient safety and comfort.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications necessary for clinical documentation.

Preferred Experience\n
