Work Environment\n

This role is fully remote, allowing for a flexible work-life balance while providing high-quality mental health care. The work schedule is primarily Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility to accommodate the needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate the unique experiences and needs of each patient.

• Devise and implement personalized treatment plans aimed at trauma recovery and resilience enhancement, utilizing evidence-based modalities.

• Provide therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), adapting techniques to fit patient needs.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, encouraging patients to express their feelings, develop coping mechanisms, and foster healing.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists and healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care.

• Deliver crisis intervention for patients experiencing acute trauma-related emergencies and provide support during stressful situations.

• Offer educational resources to patients and their families regarding trauma responses and coping strategies.

• Maintain detailed and confidential documentation in accordance with ethical, legal, and organizational standards.

• Engage in ongoing professional development through participation in case consultations and team meetings focused on trauma-informed practices.

• Stay abreast of the latest research and innovations in trauma therapy to enhance treatment efficacy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role will focus on supporting patients who have experienced various forms of trauma. Our client base includes individuals suffering from PTSD, complex trauma, and related disorders, many of whom may require specific strategies for coping and recovery. As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at MedSphere, your skills in understanding trauma and implementing effective therapies will directly influence the recovery paths of these patients.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas is essential.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience preferably in trauma-focused therapy is preferred.

• Comprehensive understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Proven experience in delivering trauma-focused interventions and therapies.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills characterized by empathy, patience, and professional integrity.

• The ability to navigate high-stress situations calmly and effectively.

• Proficiency in the use of electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, experience working within a trauma-informed care framework and familiarity with cutting-edge therapeutic practices will be beneficial. Additionally, experience with telehealth platforms is a plus, as it enables smoother transitions into our remote service structure.

Compensation and Benefits\n

MedSphere Counseling offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $104,000.
