Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed trauma-informed assessments to evaluate clients' backgrounds, current challenges, and treatment needs. This may include reviewing medical histories and utilizing structured assessments.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that integrate therapeutic modalities including, but not limited to, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions focusing on processes such as exploring trauma narratives, building resilience, and developing effective coping strategies.
\n
• Engage in regular collaboration with mental health professionals to coordinate care plans and ensure a holistic approach to each client’s well-being.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention during instances of trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating adeptness in managing high-stress situations.
\n
• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, enhancing their understanding of symptoms and effective techniques for management and recovery.

• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in ongoing professional development, case consultations, and team meetings that emphasize trauma-informed practices and the latest therapeutic research.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clients primarily consist of individuals experiencing emotional and psychological challenges stemming from trauma, including but not limited to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your role requires a sensitive approach tailored to each client’s unique experiences and needs, ensuring they feel understood and supported throughout their recovery process.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health therapy is preferred.

• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and competence in trauma-informed treatment methodologies.

Compensation and Benefits\n
