Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate clients’ histories and current challenges, ensuring personalized treatment planning.

• Design and implement customized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and skill development.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to promote effective healing.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, providing a supportive space for clients to process their trauma and build coping strategies.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated care tailored to patients' unique needs.

• Respond to crisis situations with urgency and compassion, providing critical support during trauma-related emergencies.

• Educate clients and their families on understanding trauma responses, effective coping strategies, and available therapeutic resources.

• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation that adheres to legal and ethical standards in mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals affected by complex trauma, including those diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and dissociative disorders. Your role will involve providing compassionate and individualized care to clients who have experienced significant emotional, physical, or psychological trauma, tailoring your approach to fit their specific needs and circumstances.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Psychologist, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California.

• Strong understanding of trauma-informed treatment modalities and practices.

• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills with a focus on empathy and understanding.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems to maintain accurate client records.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, specifically focused on trauma-related disorders.

• Experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions, particularly EMDR and TF-CBT.

Compensation and Benefits\n
