Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate each patient’s unique history and needs, forming the foundation for individualized treatment plans.

• Develop tailored, evidence-based treatment strategies aimed at trauma recovery, focusing on resilience-building and the empowerment of clients.

• Utilize advanced therapeutic techniques, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to provide effective interventions.

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions to facilitate patient processing of trauma, the development of coping strategies, and overall emotional healing.

• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and other mental health professionals, to ensure holistic, integrated care for clients.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring that patients feel safe and supported.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available resources to empower them in their recovery journey.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in line with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems to track patient progress.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients you will serve at New Path Counseling Services will primarily consist of trauma survivors experiencing various manifestations of trauma, including PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your therapeutic expertise will be vital in creating effective treatment strategies that address their psychological and emotional needs.

Qualifications\n

• Education: A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Licensure: Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Illinois.

• Skills: Proficient understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment approaches.
\n
• Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.

• Technology: Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard computer applications for documentation and patient care.

Preferred Experience\n

• Two or more years of post-licensure experience in trauma-focused therapeutic settings.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is competitive, between USD 90,000 and 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
