Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at El Gloria Counseling Center, you will:

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' histories, needs, and appropriate treatment modalities.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery, resilience, and coping strategies.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate patient healing.

• Lead individual and group therapy sessions, guiding patients in processing their trauma and fostering emotional growth.
\n
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated approach to patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies, offering immediate support and resources as needed.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on the nature of trauma responses, coping techniques, and available community resources.
\n
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation of patient interactions and treatment progress according to legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities focused on trauma-informed practices.

• Stay updated on the latest research and evidence-based practices in the field of trauma therapy to enhance treatment offerings.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our patients primarily consist of individuals grappling with trauma and its effects on their mental health. This includes those diagnosed with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. By focusing on trauma-informed care, you will help clients learn coping mechanisms, process their experiences, and promote their overall healing journey in a safe space.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
\n
• A strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and effective trauma-informed treatment methodologies.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to patient care.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, the following qualifications are preferred:

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in a similar clinical setting, with direct experience treating trauma-affected individuals.

Compensation and Benefits\n
