Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient’s unique trauma history, strengths, and treatment needs.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery and resilience-building, incorporating evidence-based interventions.
\n
• Deliver individual and group therapy sessions utilizing recognized therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate sessions that enable patients to process their trauma experiences, develop adaptive coping strategies, and promote emotional healing.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention support for patients during trauma-related emergencies while coordinating with psychiatrists and mental health professionals to ensure integrated care.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and resources available to support their recovery.
\n
• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in adherence to legal and ethical standards, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of patient progress.

• Engage actively in case consultations, team meetings, and continuing education opportunities focused on trauma-informed care.

• Stay informed on the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to continuously enhance the quality of care provided.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The therapist in this role will work primarily with individuals experiencing the effects of various traumatic events, including those with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your ability to foster a trusting, therapeutic environment will be key to unlocking potential healing pathways for our patients, helping them navigate their challenges and reclaim their lives. We prioritize a culturally sensitive approach, understanding that each individual’s experience is unique, and developing tailored strategies to meet diverse needs.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.

• Demonstrated understanding of trauma-related disorders, as well as trauma-informed treatment methodologies.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and the capacity to create a warm, non-judgmental therapeutic atmosphere for clients.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse populations.

Preferred Experience\n

• Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, preferably with a focus on trauma therapy.

• Proficient in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions with a proven track record of positive patient outcomes.

• Adept in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and comfortable with various digital tools essential for remote therapeutic practices.

Compensation and Benefits\n
