Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth, trauma-informed mental health assessments that evaluate patients' trauma histories and inform individualized treatment strategies.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery, utilizing a range of therapeutic modalities.

• Deliver evidence-based interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), during individual and group therapy sessions.

• Create a nurturing therapeutic environment that encourages open dialogue, emotional expression, and healing.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive, integrated care for patients.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support to patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies.

• Guide patients and their families in understanding trauma responses and coping mechanisms while providing information on available resources.

• Maintain meticulous patient documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and integrity of records.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on working with individuals who are navigating the aftermath of trauma-related experiences. This may include survivors of intimate partner violence, childhood abuse, and other acute or chronic traumatic events. You will utilize trauma-informed practices to cultivate resilience and empower individuals to move forward in their healing journey.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York.

• Proficiency in trauma-informed treatment modalities and approaches tailored to build resilience.

Compensation and Benefits\n
