This role is structured to be remote, allowing flexibility while maintaining a strong connection with our clients and local team members. Although primarily remote, there may be opportunities for in-person collaborations or consultations when necessary.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' histories and tailor individualized treatment approaches.

• Develop and implement customized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery, which may include therapeutic modalities such as EMDR and TF-CBT.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions that allow patients to process trauma and work through emotional responses.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to create a cohesive treatment strategy that addresses all aspects of the patient's well-being.

• Respond to crisis situations efficiently, providing immediate support and intervention during trauma-related emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, resilience-building strategies, and available resources for ongoing support.

• Maintain meticulous documentation of therapy sessions and treatment plans in compliance with federal and state regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and legal integrity.

• Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings, fostering a collaborative atmosphere focused on the latest methodologies in trauma-informed care.

• Stay informed about new research and emerging best practices in trauma therapy to enhance your effectiveness as a clinician.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on individuals affected by various forms of trauma, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. As a therapist at Better Living Counseling Center, you will work with a diverse clientele seeking support in their recovery journeys, emphasizing a trauma-sensitive approach that honors their unique experiences.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Clinical Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience is preferred.
\n
• Deep understanding of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment models.
\n
• Demonstrated competence in delivering trauma-focused therapeutic interventions.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to provide a non-judgmental, empathetic atmosphere for clients.

• Strong technical skills, including proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
\n
• A collaborative mindset, comfortable working within a multidisciplinary treatment team.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is required, candidates with additional training in evidence-based trauma therapies, or experience in crisis intervention will be highly regarded. Additionally, experience working with specific populations such as veterans, abuse survivors, or those in high-stress occupations will be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits\n
