Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate clients' backgrounds and trauma histories, informing effective treatment plans.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at promoting trauma recovery, emotional well-being, and resilience.

• Utilize evidence-based methodologies, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), during therapy sessions.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions that support clients in processing their trauma and developing coping strategies.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated care tailored to each client's needs.

• Provide crisis intervention services during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring clients receive the immediate support they require.

• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, available resources, and effective coping mechanisms.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in adherence to all legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and continuous professional development initiatives focused on trauma-informed care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals significantly impacted by trauma, including those diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will work closely with adult clients in various stages of recovery, guiding them through challenges and celebrating their progress toward healing.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology, from an accredited institution.

• Active licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Registered (LCSW-R) in the state of New York.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a relevant setting is preferred.

• Demonstrated expertise in trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed treatment approaches, and resilience-building interventions.

• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, characterized by a warm and empathetic approach to client interactions.

• Ability to maintain composure during high-stress situations, demonstrating effective crisis management skills.

• Proficiency in using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and other digital applications necessary for remote therapy.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
