Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate clients’ histories and current challenges to tailor individualized treatment plans.

• Implement and oversee evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, employing techniques to help clients process their trauma and develop effective coping strategies.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals, to ensure cohesive and integrated patient care.

• Provide real-time crisis intervention and support to clients experiencing trauma-related emergencies.

• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, promoting understanding and resilience through workshops and informational resources.

• Maintain meticulous, confidential records that comply with legal and ethical standards within a digital health record system.

• Engage in ongoing professional development and case consultations, sharing insights and strategies that enhance our trauma-informed care approach.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on a diverse clientele managing various trauma-related issues, including but not limited to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma histories, and dissociative disorders. You will work closely with individuals who may be experiencing significant distress, equipping them with tools and support to navigate their healing journey.

Qualifications\n

• Education: A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Licensure: Must possess a current and valid license as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• Knowledge: Strong foundational understanding of trauma-related disorders and varied trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Skills: Exceptional interpersonal communication abilities, demonstrating empathy, active listening, and a non-judgmental approach.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, candidates with less experience who exhibit a strong commitment to trauma healing are encouraged to apply. Compensation and Benefits\n
