Key Responsibilities\n

As a Mental Health Therapist, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough, trauma-informed assessments to understand each patient’s unique trauma history and develop tailored treatment strategies.

• Creating, applying, and regularly updating individualized treatment plans that emphasize trauma recovery and resilience.
\n
• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Leading both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their trauma, develop healthy coping techniques, and foster emotional healing.

• Engaging in collaboration with other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated approach to patient care, addressing all facets of mental health treatment.

• Providing crisis intervention as needed during trauma-related emergencies, to ensure immediate support for our patients.
\n
• Educating patients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and the resources available for further support.
\n
• Maintaining meticulous and confidential documentation that adheres to ethical and legal standards.

• Participating in regular case consultations, team meetings, and contributing to professional development initiatives focused on trauma-informed care.

• Staying current with the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy to continually enhance the quality of care provided.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your efforts will directly impact trauma survivors, providing them with the tools necessary to navigate their recovery journeys. Our patients often present with various trauma-related conditions, and your role will be pivotal in helping them regain their sense of safety, self-worth, and agency.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Psychologist, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California.

• A strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-focused treatment approaches.
\n
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications to document patient progress and treatment outcomes.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, exhibiting a compassionate, empathetic, and non-judgmental demeanor with patients and families alike.

• The ability to remain composed under pressure and respond effectively in high-stress situations.

• A collaborative spirit and willingness to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, we place emphasis on quality care and a passion for supporting trauma recovery. Experience with trauma-focused therapies and a proactive approach to professional development will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n
