Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews to assess initial client needs, documenting each case meticulously from consultation through to the completion of treatment.

• Evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health conditions using established assessment tools and therapeutic techniques.
\n
• Develop individualized intervention and recovery plans that take into account the unique circumstances and goals of each client, including interventions for individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate one-on-one and group therapy sessions, creating a safe and inviting atmosphere to encourage openness and healing.
\n
• Regularly monitor client progress by tracking therapeutic milestones and making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on feedback and observed outcomes.
\n
• Work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, primary care physicians, and social workers, to create comprehensive intervention strategies.

• Engage in follow-up communication with hospitals and healthcare facilities when clients require inpatient care, ensuring continuity of care.

• Identify potential barriers to recovery and implement preventive strategies to support client success and resilience.

• Provide support and guidance to family members and primary caregivers to address challenges related to mental health and behavioral issues.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
\n
• Current licensing as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California.

• Successful completion and passing score on the National Counselor Exam (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on the ability to articulate complex clinical concepts to patients and their families.
\n
• Exceptional listening skills and an empathetic approach to client interactions.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Demonstrated experience working as a mental health counselor in a clinical setting, preferably in dealing with a telehealth environment.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, particularly AVATAR, for documentation and reporting.
\n
• Experience and comfort working with clients with co-occurring physical and mental health conditions, including a background in addiction treatment.
\n
• Understanding of evidence-based practices set forth by organizations such as the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

Compensation and Benefits\n
