Key Responsibilities\n

Your role as a Mental Health Therapist will encompass the following key responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate a patient's trauma history, strengths, and challenges, facilitating personalized treatment.

• Craft and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based approaches focused on resilience and recovery, including methods such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping clients process their trauma, develop effective coping strategies, and foster emotional healing.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to provide integrated care and comprehensive treatment strategies for clients.

• Respond to trauma-related emergencies with timely crisis interventions and support, ensuring client safety and immediate assistance when necessary.

• Engage clients and their families in educational discussions regarding trauma responses, coping methodologies, and available therapeutic resources.

• Maintain meticulous, secure documentation in adherence with legal and ethical standards to ensure client confidentiality and compliance.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on individuals who have experienced trauma, including those residing in Orlando and surrounding areas. Our clients often deal with conditions stemming from complex life experiences, thus requiring empathetic, specialized therapeutic approaches tailored to empower them on their recovery journeys.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Master's or Doctorate degree in a relevant field such as Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Florida.

• A strong foundation in trauma-informed care practices and principles, alongside a deep understanding of trauma-related disorders.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, candidates with robust training in trauma-focused therapeutic interventions, group facilitation experience, as well as familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems will be viewed favorably.
