Work Environment\n

This unique remote setting allows you to connect with clients through telehealth services, significantly enhancing accessibility for patients who may have mobility issues or other constraints. Our virtual practice is designed to provide therapists with the necessary tools and technology to conduct effective sessions while ensuring a personal touch that builds rapport and trust with clients. You will work Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility required to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to understand each patient's trauma history, emotional needs, and current state of mental health.

• Develop personalized treatment plans that align with the patient's goals for recovery, incorporating evidence-based modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions designed to help participants process past trauma, build resilience, and establish healthy coping strategies.
\n
• Collaborate with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, to ensure a cohesive and integrated treatment approach for each patient.

• Provide crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, offering immediate assistance and stabilization techniques.
\n
• Educate clients and their families on trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available community resources to enhance overall support.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring thorough documentation of each patient's progress.

• Engage in case consultations and team meetings aimed at improving treatment strategies and sharing best practices within our multidisciplinary team.

• Stay updated with current research and methodologies in trauma and mental health treatment, continually enhancing your clinical skills.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our practice primarily serves individuals who have experienced trauma, including those diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. We work diligently to adapt our services to each client's unique background and experiences, aiming to empower them on their journey toward recovery and restore a sense of normalcy in their lives.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution is required.

• Current valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York State.

• Strong communication skills and an ability to demonstrate a compassionate, client-centered approach.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems to manage patient documentation.

• Capacity to work collaboratively and engage respectfully with clients and colleagues.

Preferred Experience\n
