Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to gauge patient histories and tailoring treatment approaches based on individualized needs.

• Devise and implement personalized treatment plans designed to emphasize trauma recovery and the development of resilience-building strategies.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions focusing on processing trauma, developing coping mechanisms, and enhancing emotional healing.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to promote integrated and comprehensive care.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention during active trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patient safety and support.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals affected by traumatic experiences, including survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and other severe stressors leading to PTSD. Your role will not only involve providing therapeutic assistance but also empowering clients through education and shared resources to navigate their recovery process effectively.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in Massachusetts.

• Demonstrated knowledge in trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to therapy.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant computer applications.

• Ability to remain poised in high-stress situations, supporting clients through their healing processes.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is highly preferred, candidates with a strong conviction in trauma therapy and who can demonstrate their clinical competencies will be considered favorably. Experience with delivering trauma-focused therapies will also be an asset.
