Regular virtual meetings and case discussions ensure that all counselors are supported in their roles and equipped with the latest knowledge and techniques in the field.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive preliminary interviews to assess clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health, documenting findings accurately from initial consultation through the end of treatment.

• Develop individualized intervention and recovery plans tailored for individuals, couples, families, and groups, ensuring alignment with therapeutic goals.
\n
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing a range of therapeutic modalities suited to the needs of the client population.
\n
• Monitor and document clients’ progress throughout their treatment journey, adjusting plans as necessary based on changing needs and circumstances.

• Collaborate with other mental health professionals, including psychologists, social workers, and nurses, to create cohesive intervention strategies that support client outcomes.
\n
• Follow up with psychiatrists and attending physicians regarding the care of clients admitted to various hospitals, ensuring continuity of care.
\n
• Proactively identify and mitigate behaviors that may hinder clients' recovery, providing strategies to overcome challenges.

• Support family members and primary caregivers in navigating mental and behavioral issues, offering guidance and resources appropriate for enhancing family dynamics.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Seaview, you will engage with a diverse client population, including individuals encountering anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health challenges. Our approach emphasizes cultural sensitivity and individuality, tailoring interventions to meet clients where they are and foster meaningful recovery and growth tailored to their unique backgrounds and experiences.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as any of the following: Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Massachusetts.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Strong understanding of the effects of prescribed medications from medical professionals and their implications in mental health recovery.
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a capacity to articulate clinical observations and insights clearly.
\n
• Empathy and strong interpersonal skills that promote rapport building and trust within client relationships.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience in a mental health counseling role, demonstrating familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic practices.

• Proficient use of electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to manage client records and treatment documentation.
\n
• Experience in addressing underlying physical and emotional health conditions, as well as addiction disorders, is highly valued.
\n
• Knowledge of the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers an attractive annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000, along with a sign-on bonus.
