Calm in Motion Counseling Services is seeking a full-time Licensed Mental Health Therapist, either an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT, who is dedicated to providing trauma-informed care. This role requires a professional who is skilled in counseling individuals suffering from trauma-related issues, including PTSD and complex trauma. Work Environment\n

This position offers a remote work setting, allowing you to maintain a flexible schedule while working from the comfort of your home. Our outpatient office provides a structured yet comfortable atmosphere for both therapists and clients, facilitating effective encounters. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility required to meet the evolving needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to understand patients' histories and craft bespoke treatment plans that address their unique recovery journey.

• Implement therapeutic modalities, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to promote healing and growth.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions focused on processing trauma, developing coping strategies, and fostering resilience.
\n
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and support staff, to create a continuum of care for our patients, ensuring every aspect of their mental health needs is met.

• Provide crisis intervention to support patients during emergencies, utilizing de-escalation techniques and trauma-informed guidance.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping techniques, and resources, enhancing their understanding and management of mental health.

• Maintain precise and confidential documentation in line with legal and ethical standards, including progress notes and treatment plans.
\n
• Participate in regular case consultations and team meetings to discuss patient progress, share insights, and enhance overall care strategies.

• Engage in professional development activities to stay informed about the latest research and advancements in the field of trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will primarily focus on individuals impacted by trauma, including survivors of abuse, accidents, and other distressing life events. This position calls for a therapist who can create a safe space for clients to explore their emotions and begin their healing processes. You will work closely with clients dealing with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders, ensuring they receive informed, compassionate care tailored to their individual needs.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure in the state of Texas as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW.

• Two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, with a strong foundation in trauma-related therapeutic practices.

• In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders and effective trauma-informed treatment approaches.

• Strong interpersonal skills, with a compassionate, non-judgmental attitude and the ability to connect with clients from diverse backgrounds.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and the ability to navigate computer applications efficiently.

Compensation and Benefits\n
