Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and develop appropriate treatment strategies.

• Create and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans aimed at facilitating trauma recovery and building resilience.

• Utilize trauma-specific therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to deliver effective interventions.

• Facilitate individual therapy and group therapy sessions focused on helping clients process their trauma and establish effective coping mechanisms.

• Coordinate with psychiatrists and multi-disciplinary teams to provide integrated care for clients and address their comprehensive mental health needs.

• Provide crisis intervention services during trauma-related emergencies to ensure immediate support is available to clients.
\n
• Educate patients and their families regarding trauma responses and available coping resources, empowering them on their recovery journey.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, including progress notes and treatment updates.

• Engage in regular team meetings, case consultations, and continued professional education focused on trauma-informed practices and new treatment methodologies.

• Stay current with the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy to continually refine your therapeutic approach.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a therapist at Chat and Change Counseling, LLC, you will primarily work with individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including survivors of abuse, neglect, and significant life-threatening events. Your role will be crucial in supporting these clients on their healing journey, as you will help them navigate the complex emotional and psychological challenges associated with their trauma, ultimately improving their overall mental health and well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Arizona.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, with a focus on trauma-informed care preferred.

• Demonstrated understanding of trauma-related disorders, treatment modalities, and approaches to build client resilience.

• Experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and evidence-based interventions.
