Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate clients' mental health histories, focusing on their specific trauma experiences to guide treatment planning.

• Design and implement personalized treatment plans aimed at facilitating trauma recovery and fostering resilience, using evidence-based modalities.

• Deliver therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), tailored to each client’s unique situation.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, promoting an interactive environment where clients can process their trauma, learn coping skills, and work toward healing.

• Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals, to provide integrated care and ensure optimal outcomes for clients.

• Provide crisis intervention when necessary, supporting clients during trauma-related emergencies and helping them navigate immediate distress.

• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available community resources, empowering them in their recovery journey.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress according to legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings, contributing to a collective understanding of best practices in trauma-informed care.

• Stay current with research and advancements in trauma therapy to ensure that our therapeutic approach remains at the forefront of the field.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily serve individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including those dealing with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will be instrumental in addressing emotional disturbances and behavioral health challenges, allowing clients to establish healthier relationships with themselves and others. Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current, valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York State.

• Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-related disorders and the ability to employ trauma-informed treatment methods effectively.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $90,000 to $110,000, commensurate with experience.
