Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and identify tailored treatment modalities.

• Develop and execute individualized treatment plans centered on promoting trauma recovery and building resilience in patients.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) during therapy sessions.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, guiding patients through their trauma experiences and assisting in the development of effective coping strategies.

• Work closely with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic care for all patients.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention support for patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about emotional trauma, coping mechanisms, and resources available to assist in the healing process.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health record documentation in compliance with regulatory and ethical standards.

• Participate actively in case consultations, collaborative team meetings, and professional development opportunities focused on trauma-informed care.

• Continuously improve professional knowledge and awareness of recent research and best practices related to trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role will primarily focus on treating a diverse patient population representing a wide range of trauma experiences. You will work with individuals suffering from PTSD, complex trauma, and a variety of dissociative disorders, helping them navigate their recovery journeys. Your expertise will contribute to the establishment of a healing environment where patients feel safe, heard, and empowered in their recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R within the state of New York.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience working with trauma-affected populations is preferred.

• A thorough understanding of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment methodologies.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating compassion and a non-judgmental approach.

• Ability to maintain a calm demeanor in high-pressure situations, effectively managing patient crises.

• Proficiency in electronic health record systems, along with a solid understanding of computer applications relevant to mental health practice.

Experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions is highly valued. Compensation and Benefits\n

The position offers an attractive salary range of USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
