Work Environment\n

This position is set within a fully remote outpatient office structure, combining flexibility with professional accountability. Although your primary workspace will be home-based, you will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of dedicated professionals committed to trauma recovery. Our typical work schedule runs Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with possible flexibility to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments, evaluating patients' trauma histories and identifying suitable treatment methodologies.

• Establish and execute individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery and enhance resilience through measurable goals.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to implement effective therapeutic interventions.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, providing a safe platform for patients to process their trauma, cultivate coping strategies, and promote emotional healing.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and integrated care tailored to individual patient needs.

• Respond to trauma-related emergencies with appropriate crisis intervention strategies, delivering immediate support to patients in distress.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and the resources available for ongoing support.

• Maintain confidential documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in case consultations and team meetings, contributing to a shared understanding of treatment approaches and best practices in trauma-informed care.

• Engage in continuous professional development, staying informed about the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role mainly serves clients who have experienced various forms of trauma. You will be working with adults who present with PTSD, complex trauma, and other trauma-related conditions. Your expertise in trauma-informed care will be essential in safeguarding the healing environment that our patients need, fostering trust and safety in every therapeutic interaction.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C in the state of Maryland.
\n
• Two years of post-licensure experience practicing in the field of mental health counseling, preferably with a focus on trauma.
\n
• Demonstrated strong knowledge of trauma-related conditions and treatment strategies.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, exhibiting a compassionate, supportive, and non-judgmental demeanor.

• Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations, making sound decisions during crises.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications for effective documentation and patient management.

• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience delivering trauma-focused interventions, such as EMDR and TF-CBT, is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n
