Key Responsibilities\n

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) in individual and group therapy settings.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary professionals to deliver cohesive and integrated care, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will be working primarily with individuals affected by trauma, including those dealing with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your role will be pivotal in guiding these clients through their trauma recovery journeys, and helping them rebuild their lives. Understanding the impact of cultural, social, and environmental factors on mental health will also be central to your practice.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of New York.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience with a focus on trauma-informed care.

• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and treatment modalities, supplemented by experience in applying trauma-focused therapies.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a nurturing and non-judgmental demeanor.

• Ability to remain composed under pressure and navigate high-stress situations effectively.

• Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and comfortable with various computer applications necessary for teletherapy.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
