Work Environment\n

This role is intended for a remote setting, utilizing telehealth technologies to reach clients where they are most comfortable. Our clinical team thrives in a collaborative, supportive virtual environment that emphasizes mental health innovation and best practices in trauma treatment. Flexibility is a key aspect of this role; while the standard hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, some adjustments may be necessary based on patient schedules.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments that focus on understanding each patient’s history and unique needs.

• Develop tailored treatment plans that include measurable goals for trauma recovery and resilience-building initiatives.

• Implement evidence-based interventions, with a strong focus on modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, encouraging patients to process trauma and cultivate effective coping mechanisms.

• Engage in close collaboration with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary team members to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention support promptly during trauma-related emergencies to ensure immediate safety and care.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma reactions and recovery processes, and inform them about available resources.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential client records in compliance with relevant legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Participate in team meetings and professional development activities, focusing on the latest research and advancements in trauma-informed care.

• Remain up-to-date with new therapeutic methodologies and techniques that enhance patient outcomes in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily involve individuals who have faced significant adversities, including trauma and abuse histories, who require specialized therapeutic interventions. Our clients may face challenges such as PTSD, depression, anxiety, and other related disorders. As a Mental Health Counselor, you will be integral in guiding these individuals toward healing and resilience, making your expertise essential in fostering their overall mental health and recovery journey.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from a reputable, accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT within the state of Illinois.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
