Work Environment\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will be part of a supportive and multidisciplinary team. Our remote work setting allows for flexibility in management of your time, enabling you to focus on providing top-notch therapeutic support to our patients. Your scheduled hours will typically be Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, although some flexibility may be necessary to accommodate patient needs. Notably, you will also benefit from a sign-on bonus as we welcome you to our dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments of patients to gather comprehensive trauma histories, identifying effective treatment modalities.

• Create and implement personalized treatment plans aimed at fostering recovery and resilience among patients, adapting interventions based on their unique needs.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing and coping strategies.

• Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions, guiding patients in processing their trauma and aiding them in developing effective coping mechanisms.
\n
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to provide integrated, holistic care, ensuring comprehensive treatment for each patient.

• Provide crisis intervention and support in situations arising from trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and coping strategies, ensuring they are equipped with knowledge about available resources for further support.

• Maintain up-to-date, accurate, and confidential documentation following all legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development activities focused on trauma-informed care practices.

• Continuously update knowledge of the latest research, best practices, and methodologies applicable to trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will be primarily focused on individuals who have experienced traumatic events, including those suffering from PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our patient demographic spans a diverse range of backgrounds and life experiences, requiring culturally competent and individualized approaches to care.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
\n
• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.
\n
• A strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities specific to trauma recovery.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to maintain a compassionate, non-judgmental demeanor with patients.
\n
• Proficiency in managing electronic health record (EHR) systems and utilizing relevant software applications.
\n
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team setting.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, preferably with a focus on trauma-related therapy.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering trauma-focused therapeutic practices and interventions.

Compensation and Benefits\n
