Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate clients’ experiences and history related to trauma.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that focus on resilience-building and trauma recovery, adapting them to meet each client’s unique needs.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to provide effective treatment.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping clients process their trauma, develop healthy coping strategies, and encourage healing.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated and holistic care.

• Respond to crisis situations as needed, providing immediate support and interventions to clients in distress.
\n
• Educate clients and their families regarding trauma responses and effective coping mechanisms, helping them navigate the recovery process.

• Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards by maintaining accurate and confidential documentation.

• Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development opportunities that emphasize trauma-informed care.

• Stay informed on the latest research and best practices related to trauma therapy to continuously improve service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on individuals who have endured various forms of trauma, including domestic violence, childhood abuse, and natural disasters. In this role, you will provide a space for clients to explore their feelings, confront their experiences, and establish pathways towards recovery. Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California.

• Strong understanding of trauma-informed treatment approaches and resilience-focused techniques.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating compassion, empathy, and a non-judgmental demeanor.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and a familiarity with telehealth platforms.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years post-licensure experience is preferred but strong candidates with less experience may still apply.

• Experience in trauma-focused therapies and interventions, including group facilitation, is highly advantageous.
