Work Environment\n

This role offers the flexibility of a telehealth work setting, allowing you to provide mental health counseling from the comfort of your home. As part of our commitment to a healthy work-life balance, we maintain a standard work schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility based on patient scheduling needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and create tailored treatment approaches.

• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans aimed at promoting trauma recovery and building resilience.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate effective treatment outcomes.

• Lead individual and group therapy sessions focused on helping patients process trauma, develop coping strategies, and foster healing.
\n
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and a multidisciplinary team to ensure integrated, comprehensive care for all patients.
\n
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support in trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patient safety and well-being.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, available coping mechanisms, and community resources that may enhance recovery.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
\n
• Participate in regular case consultations and team meetings to enhance treatment strategies and foster a culture of continuous professional development focused on trauma-informed care.

• Stay current with emerging research and best practices in trauma therapy to provide the highest quality of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position focuses on providing care to individuals significantly impacted by trauma, including those facing PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our clients often come from various backgrounds and may require personalized approaches to therapy, emphasizing a compassionate and empathetic methodology.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Washington.
\n
• A strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment approaches.
\n
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with relevant computer applications.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a capacity for empathy and a non-judgmental approach.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in the mental health field, with a focus on trauma therapy.

• Demonstrated experience delivering trauma-focused therapy interventions effectively.

Compensation and Benefits\n
