Work Environment\n

This position allows for a flexible remote work setting while we maintain an outpatient office for occasional in-person meetings and team collaborations. Your work hours will generally fall between Monday and Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility to adapt to the needs of your clients. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to comprehensively understand each patient’s trauma history and establish effective treatment strategies.

• Design and implement personalized treatment plans centered on achieving trauma recovery and enhancing emotional resilience.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to promote healing.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their experiences, develop coping mechanisms, and enhance their overall mental wellness.

• Engage in collaborative discussions with psychiatrists and health professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention support during emergency situations related to trauma.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, healthy coping strategies, and available community resources.

• Maintain precise documentation of patient records in our electronic health record (EHR) system, adhering strictly to ethical and legal standards.

• Participate in ongoing team meetings, case consultations, and professional development sessions to enhance skills in trauma-informed care.

• Stay informed on advancements in trauma therapy research and integrate new findings into your practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be working with individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, which may include survivors of abuse, veterans, and those dealing with the long-term effects of traumatic events. You will play a crucial role in helping them navigate their feelings and experiences, fostering hope and resilience through tailored support.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York State.
\n
• A strong foundation in the principles of trauma-informed care and mental health counseling.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of post-licensure clinical experience in a mental health counseling setting.

• Proficiency in trauma-focused therapy interventions and familiarity with group therapy facilitation.

Compensation and Benefits\n
