Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed assessments to understand clients' trauma histories, allowing for individualized treatment planning.

• Create and implement personalized treatment plans that focus on empowering clients toward recovery and resilience.
\n
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), tailored to each client's needs.

• Provide both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at supporting patients through their healing journeys.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and other mental health professionals, to ensure cohesive and integrated patient care.

• Offer crisis intervention services to assist clients during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring immediate support and resources are available.

• Guide clients and their families in understanding trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available community resources.

• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation of all patient interactions in compliance with ethical and legal standards.

• Engage in regular case consultations and participate in professional development opportunities to uphold trauma-informed practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including but not limited to survivors of abuse, neglect, relationship violence, and veterans. Your role will emphasize the importance of a non-judgmental approach that acknowledges each individual's unique journey and challenges. Your expertise will not only aid in therapeutic recovery but also empower clients to reclaim their resilience and mental well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York is mandatory.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience in a mental health setting is highly preferred.

• In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders and proficiency in applying trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Strong therapeutic skills in delivering proven trauma-focused therapies and interventions.

• Outstanding communication abilities and empathetic approach toward patients and families.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technology.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
