Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide trauma-informed counseling to individuals, couples, and families, ensuring that therapy meets the diverse needs of clients.

• Maintain accurate client records and timely entry of progress notes into the electronic health record (EHR) system.

• Communicate regularly with the center director regarding your availability, client scheduling, and ongoing professional needs.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field is required.

• Strong understanding of Biblical counseling principles and solid familiarity with the Bible.

• Must hold an independently licensed mental health credential in Washington, D.C. (LPC, LMFT, or LCSW) or be within 200 hours of completing residency requirements.

• Having dual licensure in Virginia or Maryland is highly preferred.
\n
• Training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is essential, or willingness to complete basic training within the first three months of employment.

• Demonstrated knowledge of various therapeutic modalities and interventions is necessary.

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills are vital, with a strong ability to connect with diverse populations.

• A compassionate, empathetic approach to counseling is essential, alongside the ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines.

Preferred Experience\n
