Work Environment\n

This role is entirely remote, allowing for flexibility in your working environment while still maintaining strong team collaboration through virtual platforms. Our clinic emphasizes a trauma-informed work culture, ensuring that all staff are equipped with the tools and knowledge to support clients effectively. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments, evaluating clients’ histories to inform treatment decisions.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that facilitate trauma recovery, focusing on building resilience and coping mechanisms.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to assist clients throughout their healing process.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, guiding discussions that help clients process their experiences and foster community support.
\n
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and our multidisciplinary team to deliver integrated and holistic mental health care.

• Provide crisis intervention as needed, being available to support clients during traumatic emergencies.
\n
• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping strategies, and resources available for ongoing support.

• Maintain accurate and confidential electronic health record documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.

• Participate in regular case consultation, attend team meetings, and engage in professional development focused on trauma-informed best practices.

• Stay informed about the latest research developments in trauma therapies to provide the highest standard of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on working with individuals impacted by trauma, specifically those suffering from PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will engage with diverse populations, providing culturally responsive care that acknowledges the unique experiences and backgrounds of each client. Our clinic is dedicated to creating a therapeutic alliance built on trust, respect, and understanding.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LCSW in the state of Florida.

• Strong understanding and knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed care practices.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with an ability to connect compassionately with clients experiencing distress.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and the use of technology for remote counseling.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of post-licensure clinical experience working with trauma survivors.

• Experience in providing trauma-focused interventions and therapies.

• Demonstrated ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations.
