Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients’ historical trauma and tailor treatment approaches accordingly.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans aimed at trauma recovery, resilience, and overall well-being.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Deliver engaging individual and group therapy sessions that empower patients to process their trauma and develop effective coping strategies.
\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals, to ensure integrated and comprehensive care for all patients.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and emotional support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring a timely and effective response.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on trauma dynamics, coping mechanisms, and resources available for additional support.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation to comply with legal and ethical standards, ensuring continuity of care.

• Engage actively in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development initiatives focused on enhancing trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay informed about the latest research, practices, and developments in trauma therapy to continually enhance the quality of care provided.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is to assist individuals who have experienced trauma, such as veterans dealing with PTSD, survivors of abuse, and those affected by significant life changes or loss. Our case mix provides an opportunity to work with diverse client backgrounds, and your expertise will directly contribute to facilitating their healing and integration back into everyday life.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT within Washington State.
\n
• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience, preferably in the areas of trauma-informed care or mental health counseling.

• In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.
\n
• Strong foundation in delivering trauma-focused therapeutic approaches.
\n
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating compassion and a non-judgmental demeanor.

• Ability to maintain composure and provide support in high-stress situations.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and related computer applications.

• Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team dynamic.

Preferred Experience\n

While 2 years of experience is required, candidates with additional expertise in trauma-focused therapies, group dynamics, and family therapy will be highly regarded. Experience with EHR systems specific to mental health practice will also benefit the application process.
