Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and determine suitable treatment strategies.

• Design and execute individualized treatment plans that focus on fostering recovery and resilience among patients, incorporating input from the patient and their support systems.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing and personal growth.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, enabling patients to process traumatic experiences, learn coping mechanisms, and share their journeys.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention when necessary, offering immediate support during trauma-related emergencies, and working with patients to develop safety plans.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping strategies, and helpful resources that contribute to their healing process.
\n
• Maintain precise and confidential documentation in compliance with both legal and ethical standards, ensuring that all patient records are accurately kept.

• Engage in regular case consultations, attending team meetings to foster collaboration and consistent care across disciplines.

• Stay abreast of current research and emerging practices in trauma therapy to continuously enhance the quality of care provided.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work as a Licensed Mental Health Therapist will directly impact a diverse patient population, primarily consisting of individuals coping with the effects of trauma. This includes survivors of abuse, neglect, natural disasters, and various forms of emotional and psychological distress. You will play a crucial role in supporting their journey toward recovery and empowerment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as either an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Oregon.
\n
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, with a focus on trauma recovery being highly desirable.

• In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders, including effective trauma-informed treatment methodologies and resilience-building strategies.
\n
• Demonstrable experience delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions to a varying range of patients.
\n
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental approach when working with patients.
\n
• Ability to maintain composure and effectiveness in high-stress environments, showcasing resilience and adaptability.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and related technology tools that facilitate patient management and documentation.

• Capability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while fostering a spirit of teamwork and cooperation.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience implementing specific trauma-focused treatment approaches such as EMDR or TF-CBT.
