Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments that evaluate each patient's trauma history, mental health status, and identify tailored treatment approaches.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at promoting recovery from trauma while fostering resilience within each patient.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to guide sessions.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on helping patients process their trauma, develop effective coping strategies, and achieve their healing goals.

• Collaborate proactively with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary team members to ensure cohesive and integrated mental health care for patients.

• Respond to crisis situations by providing immediate support and intervention during trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available community resources.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with all legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development related to trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay abreast of the latest research, trends, and methodologies in trauma therapy to enhance patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In your role, you will work closely with a diverse range of clients who have been personally affected by trauma. This includes survivors of abuse, veterans, and individuals coping with the aftereffects of serious incidents. Your sensitivity and knowledge of trauma-related disorders will be pivotal in providing effective therapeutic interventions to support their healing journey.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Oregon.

• A deep understanding of trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed treatment approaches, and the psychological components of resilience.

• Comfort and experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions such as EMDR and TF-CBT.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental stance with clients.

• Ability to manage high-stress situations with composure and empathy.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficiency in computer applications.

Preferred Experience\n

Candidates with at least two years of post-licensure experience providing mental health counseling with a focus on trauma recovery are preferred. Familiarity with trauma-informed care principles and evidence-based therapeutic modalities will enhance success in this role.

Compensation and Benefits\n
