Work Environment\n

This remote role allows you to work from the comfort of your home while remaining part of a supportive team dedicated to trauma-informed care. While the position is primarily remote, you will occasionally participate in team meetings via video conferencing, enhancing collaboration and ensuring coordinated patient care. A typical work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility required to address the needs of patients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to comprehensively evaluate patients' trauma histories and understand their unique therapeutic needs.

• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans that emphasize trauma recovery and promote resilience.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate effective healing processes.

• Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions, fostering a safe space for patients to explore their experiences, develop coping strategies, and engage in healing.
\n
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive comprehensive and integrated care tailored to their specific needs.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies to ensure patient safety and well-being.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and effective coping mechanisms, ensuring they have access to necessary resources for their recovery.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.

• Engage in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities to continually enhance the quality of trauma-informed care provided.

• Stay abreast of the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy, applying this knowledge to improve patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on individuals affected by trauma, including those with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. As a Mental Health Counselor, you will work closely with diverse patient demographics, providing tailored support to address each individual’s unique challenges and goals.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Oregon.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, particularly in trauma-focused settings, is preferred.

• Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-related disorders and evidence-based trauma treatment modalities is essential.
