This full-time role offers the opportunity to work primarily in a remote setting, ensuring accessibility while maintaining a connection to our outpatient office in Elizabeth, New Jersey.

This position allows for a flexible work arrangement, as the majority of your sessions will be conducted remotely, affording you the chance to maintain work-life balance while delivering vital mental health services. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments that evaluate patients' trauma histories and help tailor individualized treatment approaches.

• Develop, implement, and adjust personalized treatment plans aimed at trauma recovery and resilience-building based on ongoing evaluations of patient progress.

• Utilize evidence-based interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate effective therapy sessions.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, providing a safe space for patients to process trauma, learn coping strategies, and foster emotional healing.
\n
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive comprehensive and integrated care tailored to their specific needs.
\n
• Provide immediate crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies, employing de-escalation techniques to support patients in distress.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and available resources, thereby empowering them to understand and navigate their healing processes.
\n
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.

• Engage in case consultations and participate in team meetings to share insights and best practices for trauma-informed care.
\n
• Stay current with developments in trauma therapy research to continuously enhance clinical practices and patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily focuses on individuals who are survivors of trauma, including those experiencing PTSD, complex trauma, and associated dissociative disorders. Your skills and compassion will play a critical role in helping these individuals process their experiences and achieve their mental health goals.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in New Jersey.
\n
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a relevant mental health setting is required.
\n
• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed treatment modalities, and effective resilience-building methods.
\n
• Proficiency in providing trauma-focused therapies and interventions tailored to the specific needs of patients.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.

• Adept at managing stressful situations with a calm and composed manner.
\n
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, fostering a cooperative and inclusive environment.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience in delivering evidence-based trauma therapies such as EMDR and TF-CBT will be highly beneficial. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and additional certifications in trauma care will also enhance the suitability of candidates.

Compensation and Benefits\n
