Key Responsibilities\n

As a Mental Health Therapist specializing in trauma-informed care, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients’ trauma history effectively and design personalized treatment plans.

• Implementing individualized treatment strategies focused on recovery from trauma and building resilience, taking into consideration each patient's unique experience.

• Delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitating individual and group therapy sessions that enable patients to explore their trauma, build coping mechanisms, and foster personal growth.

• Collaborating closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive and integrated care for patients.

• Providing immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies while managing the emotional and psychological needs of patients.

• Educating patients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping strategies, and available community resources.

• Maintaining accurate and confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Actively participating in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development opportunities to advance trauma-informed practices.

• Staying informed about the latest research, trends, and best practices in trauma therapy and mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals who are struggling with the aftermath of traumatic experiences, including those dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will play a pivotal role in guiding these clients towards healing, empowerment, and resilience, allowing them to reclaim control of their lives.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Oregon.
\n
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, particularly working with trauma-impacted clients.
\n
• Strong theoretical and practical understanding of trauma-related disorders and effective trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Proficient in delivering trauma-focused therapies that promote recovery and resilience.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, conveying empathy and a non-judgmental approach.

• Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in high-stress scenarios.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and relevant technology to enhance therapeutic practice.

• A commitment to working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient care.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, candidates with experience in specialized trauma therapies and those who have engaged with diverse populations will be highly regarded.

Compensation and Benefits\n
