Key Responsibilities\n

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Providing trauma-informed counseling to clients, utilizing evidence-based practices.
\n
• Incorporating Christian counseling principles for clients who seek a faith-based approach, facilitating a space for spiritual healing and support.
\n
• Developing comprehensive treatment plans that address individual client needs and goals.
\n
• Delivering counseling services as assigned, particularly to clients referred by local churches, to help strengthen community ties.

• Engaging in active community outreach efforts to build a sustainable caseload and expand referral sources.

• Collaborating closely with other mental health professionals to coordinate holistic care for clients.

• Maintaining timely and accurate client records, along with progress notes entered into our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.

• Communicating regularly with the center director regarding your availability and scheduling preferences.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on a diverse clientele, including individuals, couples, and families facing various mental health challenges. You will engage with clients from varying backgrounds, providing culturally sensitive support and helping them navigate trauma and emotional distress. Your approach will prioritize creating a safe and supportive environment conducive to healing.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• A Master's degree in counseling, social work, or a related mental health field.

• Strong knowledge of biblical principles and counseling techniques.
\n
• An independently licensed mental health credential in DC or be within 200 hours of completing residency.
\n
• Preferred dual licensure in Virginia (VA) or Maryland (MD).
\n
• Willingness to undergo basic EMDR training within three months of hire if not already trained.
\n
• Adept understanding of various therapeutic modalities and interventions.
\n
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively connect with diverse populations.

Preferred Experience\n
