This position is primarily remote, offering flexibility while maintaining close collaboration with your colleagues and the broader clinical team. Our outpatient office is equipped with state-of-the-art technology to support effective therapy delivery and case management, including electronic health record (EHR) systems that streamline patient documentation and communication.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate clients’ histories and determine appropriate evidence-based treatment plans.

• Develop and implement individualized therapeutic approaches, focusing on trauma recovery and resilience-building strategies tailored to each patient's unique needs.

• Utilize recognized therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, providing a safe space for patients to share their experiences, cultivate coping strategies, and progress toward recovery.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to ensure integrated care, coordinating on treatment plans and patient progress.

• Respond to crisis situations with timely intervention and appropriate support during trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and identify additional resources for continued support.

• Maintain accurate, confidential patient documentation in line with legal standards, ensuring completeness and integrity throughout the process.

• Engage in professional development and continuing education opportunities to stay current with trauma therapy best practices and research findings.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will be working primarily with individuals affected by trauma, including those with PTSD and complex trauma. Your efforts will focus on fostering a safe therapeutic relationship that enables clients to share their experiences, heal from their challenges, and learn practical strategies to navigate their lives. By employing trauma-informed care approaches, you will help patients build resilience and reclaim their sense of agency.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active licensure as an LCSW-C, LCPC, LMFT, LCMFT, or PsyD in the state of Maryland.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience preferred, with a strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and treatment methodologies.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering trauma-focused therapeutic interventions, exhibiting strong interpersonal and communication skills.
\n
• Adeptness in managing high-stress situations while maintaining composure.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and related applications to enhance patient care management.
\n
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team and participate in constructive dialogue related to patient care.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 104,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
