This full-time position allows for remote flexibility, with potential occasional office visits. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand each patient's individual experiences and needs.

• Develop, implement, and adjust personalized treatment plans focusing on trauma recovery strategies tailored to the unique circumstances of each patient.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), ensuring effective treatment delivery.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, guiding patients as they process their trauma while helping them establish coping mechanisms.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive, integrated mental health care.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating a calm and composed demeanor in high-pressure situations.

• Educate patients and their families regarding trauma responses, healthy coping ways, and availability of community resources.
\n
• Maintain precise and confidential documentation adhering to ethical and legal standards, ensuring compliance at every stage.

• Engage in case consultations, contribute to team meetings, and pursue professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge in trauma-informed care practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The focus population includes individuals dealing with symptoms stemming from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Many of our patients require specialized treatment plans that address the intricacies of their experiences, and as a therapist, you will play a critical role in their healing journeys.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from a CACREP-accredited institution.

• Active licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California is required.
\n
• Strong foundational knowledge in trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, showcasing a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to care.

• Capability to thrive in high-stress situations, maintaining professionalism and empathy.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications to ensure streamlined communication and documentation.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health counseling setting, particularly dealing with trauma.
