Work Environment\n

This position is designed for remote engagement, leveraging the convenience and accessibility of telehealth services. The flexible work structure allows therapists to connect with patients in a comfortable virtual setting. While the standard work hours are from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, there may be opportunities for flexibility to meet patient needs and emergent issues.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate the history and impacts of trauma on patients.

• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans targeting trauma recovery, personal growth, and coping skills.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), adjusting approaches based on patient feedback and progress.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, creating safe spaces for patients to explore their feelings, develop coping strategies, and engage in healing.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and other mental health professionals, to ensure cohesive and integrated care for all patients.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, utilizing effective de-escalation techniques.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about the effects of trauma, healthy coping mechanisms, and available resources, empowering them on their recovery journey.

• Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

• Participate in ongoing case consultations and team meetings to foster shared knowledge about trauma-informed practices and enhance team cohesion.

• Stay informed of the latest research, treatments, and best practices in the field of trauma therapy through continuous professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients you will work with come to us seeking compassion and recovery from a variety of trauma-related experiences. Our focus is on supporting individuals dealing with PTSD, complex PTSD, and various dissociative disorders. By understanding their unique histories and challenges, you will help guide each patient's journey toward healing through tailored, evidence-based interventions.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• A strong foundation in trauma-informed care and familiarity with diverse therapeutic modalities.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills that enable a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to therapy.

• Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and the use of applicable computer applications for virtual counseling.
\n
• Ability to work independently while maintaining collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

While 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, we value candidates with a deep understanding of trauma-related disorders, and a genuine passion for working with trauma survivors. Experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions is advantageous and will significantly enhance the therapeutic outcomes for our patients.

Compensation and Benefits\n
