Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient’s trauma history while identifying appropriate and effective treatment methodologies.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and overall mental wellness.

• Utilize evidence-based interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to deliver high-quality therapeutic care.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process traumatic experiences, develop healthy coping strategies, and nurture the healing journey.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and holistic care for each patient.

• Provide timely crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, while demonstrating a compassionate approach tailored to each individual’s unique needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position focuses on serving individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including but not limited to PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. These patients often require specialized care designed to address their unique experiences and challenges. The therapist will be instrumental in helping clients process their trauma, heal emotional wounds, and build resilience for a brighter future.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCMFT, LCPC, LCP, LCSW, or LSCSW in the state of Kansas.

• A strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, displaying compassion and a non-judgmental demeanor in all interactions.
