Key Responsibilities\n

• Perform comprehensive, trauma-informed assessments to identify clients' needs, strengths, and treatment objectives.

• Develop and implement customized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery, utilizing evidence-based approaches such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions, facilitating a safe space for clients to explore their emotions and experiences while guiding them towards healing.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and other health professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related incidents, assessing risk and formulating action plans to safeguard client well-being.

• Educate clients and their families on effective trauma management techniques and community resources available for further support.

• Maintain strict confidentiality and thorough documentation of all patient interactions per ethical and legal standards.

• Engage in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development to stay updated on trauma interventions and patient care best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work closely with a diverse client population that includes adults and youths who have experienced traumatic events. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related mental health field from an accredited institution.

• A valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) within New York State.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, demonstrating your commitment and capability in the field of mental health.

• A deep understanding of trauma-related disorders and proficiency in various evidence-based therapeutic models.

• Exceptional interpersonal abilities, with a strong commitment to compassionate care and active listening.

• Experience using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and other therapeutic software to enhance client care and documentation.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, candidates with prior experience in trauma-focused settings, particularly those familiar with EMDR or TF-CBT, will receive preference. Additionally, involvement in crisis intervention or multi-disciplinary team settings will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
