Work Environment\n

This role is designed for a remote work setting, emphasizing flexibility and adaptability in order to meet the needs of our diverse patient base. Your work hours will primarily fall between Monday and Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some adjustments possible based on individual patient requirements.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient’s trauma history and develop personalized treatment plans.

• Create and implement individualized treatment strategies aimed at promoting trauma recovery and fostering resilience, tailored to each patient’s needs.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to guide patients through their healing journeys.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions that help patients process their trauma, develop effective coping mechanisms, and enhance emotional well-being.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals, including psychiatrists and other therapists, to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention and emotional support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring a quick and compassionate response to patient needs.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping strategies, treatment options, and available support resources.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the State of New York.

• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed care principles, and effective treatment modalities.

• Excellent interpersonal skills coupled with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to therapy.
