This position will be performed entirely remotely through telehealth services. Team members are expected to maintain a professional virtual workspace to foster effective communication and collaboration. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma history and devise targeted treatment plans.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment strategies focused on trauma recovery, resilience, and personal growth.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) as well as Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) during patient sessions.

• Provide engaging individual and group therapy sessions designed to help patients process their trauma, develop effective coping mechanisms, and promote overall healing.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for each patient.

• Deliver crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring that help is available when needed the most.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available resources to empower their healing journey.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in regular team meetings, case consultations, and professional development activities that emphasize trauma-informed care techniques.

• Stay abreast of the latest research, trends, and best practices in trauma therapy to enhance the quality of care provided.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses primarily on individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including but not limited to survivors of abuse, neglect, and significant life events that have impacted their mental well-being. Our target client populations often present with symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, depression, and dissociative disorders, all of which require a sensitive and informed therapeutic approach.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Possession of an active and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience working with trauma survivors is preferred.

• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment strategies.
\n
• Experience delivering a variety of trauma-focused therapies and interventions that facilitate recovery.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to patient care.

• Ability to provide calm and competent support in high-stress situations.
\n
• Proficiency in EHR systems and relevant computer applications.
\n
• An aptitude for working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team framework.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years post-licensure experience is required, candidates with additional experience in trauma recovery, resilience training, or who have specialized certifications in specific modalities such as EMDR or TF-CBT will be given preference.

Compensation and Benefits\n
