Work Environment\n

This position is entirely remote, allowing for flexibility while catering to the needs of our diverse patient population. You will be joining a collaborative team of mental health professionals dedicated to providing high-quality care in an outpatient setting. While your schedule will predominantly align with standard hours from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, some flexibility may be necessary based on patient availability and needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to gain a deep understanding of patients' psychological histories and identify suitable treatment approaches.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery, drawing from best practices and innovative treatment modalities.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate healing and resilience-building.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, providing a therapeutic space for patients to process trauma, develop coping strategies, and promote healing.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and comprehensive care for each patient.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, assisting patients in navigating acute difficulties.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and coping mechanisms, empowering them with knowledge and resources.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring patient records are current and secure.

• Engage in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities focused on enhancing skills in trauma-informed care.

• Stay informed about the latest research and innovations in trauma therapy to continuously improve treatment outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our primary focus is on individuals struggling with trauma, including those suffering from PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will be working with a diverse clientele, each with unique backgrounds and experiences, which enriches the therapeutic process and fosters a meaningful connection between the therapist and patient.

Qualifications\n

• A completed Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in the mental health field, particularly in trauma-informed care is preferred.

• Strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders, treatment modalities, and resilience-building techniques.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to patient care.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications to manage patient documentation.

• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stakes situations while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

It is beneficial if candidates have practical experience delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions. Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds will enhance our team's capacity to provide inclusive care.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
