Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments through telehealth platforms, documenting clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health histories to create personalized treatment plans.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a diverse range of clients dealing with various mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and substance abuse. Your proficiency in understanding different psychological conditions will be key in helping individuals navigate their unique paths toward recovery. As clients are primarily served through our telehealth platform, you will have the opportunity to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds throughout the Brooklyn area, contributing to a more inclusive mental health conversation.

Qualifications\n

• A bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or equivalent.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, allowing for effective interactions with clients and interdisciplinary teams.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, including empathy and active listening, to foster a trusting therapeutic relationship with clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience of at least two years working as a mental health counselor or therapist, preferably in a telehealth setting.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to ensure smooth documentation and case management.

• Experience with addiction disorders and related health conditions, facilitating comprehensive care and recovery.

• Knowledge of American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and methodologies.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
